I am Anne...
A pencil, a pen, a brush in hand—tools that have never left my side since childhood. Playing with colors, exploring textures, experimenting with lines, discovering and creating—this is both a personal and artistic mission. It all unfolds within the interplay of influences and inspirations.
In 1997, I began taking classes in an artist’s studio. The approach was free-form, drawing upon numerous influences from modern and contemporary painting, and offering total freedom regarding color and texture. I was accepted into the class because I conveyed the sheer urgency I felt to paint—a matter of life and death (artists do tend to exaggerate a little!). Quite early on, I gravitated toward the technique of oil painting.
In 2004, I moved and enrolled at the School of Fine Arts in Compiègne. It was an environment of creative stimulation, where I learned classical painting techniques while enjoying the freedom to make mistakes—and to find something "right" within the imperfection.
When I asked my new professor how one goes about making a living from painting, he answered with simple clarity: "It’s a choice."
Years passed, and my frustrations grew. I wore through canvases and spread my colors to paint still lifes, landscapes, nudes, and portraits—even portraits of animals.
Then, the health crisis shattered that reality; the losses were heavy, and it served as a profound wake-up call.
Today, I have embarked on a completely different project...
A soft landing into this new universe. Original artworks—rendered in a contemporary figurative style—are now poised to meet an audience passionate about Art, and deeply in love with the world and its nature.
